HOLIDAY CHECKLIST

Before you book

1. Let us know about any special requests, such as reduced mobility, interconnecting rooms, or extra legroom seats. That way we can make sure that your request can be accommodated before we confirm your booking.

2. Check your passport validity - especially if you are planning on traveling last minute. You should make sure that there is enough validity on your passport for the countries you are traveling to as many have strict rules on the amount of time that should be remaining when you travel. You can ask us to check your passport on your behalf if you are unsure.

3. Get quotes for travel insurance - prices for comprehensive cover can be expensive if you are over 70, have any medical conditions, or need additional cover such as cruise cover of for certain sports and activities.

4. Check the FCDO page for travel advice in relation to the countries you are planning on visiting. You can sign up to receive country specific updates direct to your inbox so that you remain up-to-date with current restrictions or requirements for travel.

When making your booking

1. Make sure you are happy with all of the details we are confirming for you. Once your booking is confirmed it may be expensive to make changes to things like dates of travel.

2. Double-check passenger details. That means making sure that the names of everybody travelling matches exactly what is written on their passport and providing the correct date of birth.

Once you've booked

1. Confirm your travel insurance. You won't be covered for cancellation if you leave it until the last minute to obtain cover, and it doesn't usually cost any extra to have it in place as soon as you book your travel.

2. Ask us about experiences - we can arrange almost anything! From theme park tickets to viewing platforms, dinner reservations to river rafting. We can also help you to confirm shore excursions and more on your cruise personaliser if you are sailing.

3. Apply for any visas - we can advise you on what visas you need for the destinations you are visiting and how best to apply. Unfortunately, we do not offer a visa application service, but we are always here for advice and support if you need help completing any applications.

4. Ask us about seat reservations. Most airlines now charge a fee to reserve specific seats on the plane, or to guarantee sitting next to each other. In many cases you'll be able to book and pay for your seats soon after booking. If we can't reserve them straight away then we will make a note of the date that this service should be available for you.

5. Check the Travel Health Pro website for country specific vaccination information. You may need to arrange vaccinations at least 4-6 weeks in advance of travel.

Before you travel

1. Check your tickets. We always triple-check everything for you to ensure your arrangements match what we've booked, but there may be parts of your tickets that you're unsure about, or parts that may have to be reconfirmed in resort to obtain pick-up times for. Make sure there is enough luggage allowance included on your ticket for what you plan to take. If you arrive at the airport with more than the amount on your ticket then you might be charged an additional fee by the airline.

2. Order your currency - you'll always get a better deal on currency if you negotiate a rate with a high-street company rather than leaving it until you get to the airport. You might also want to check with your bank about their exchange rates and any fees on using your card abroad.

3. Ask us about online check-in. In most cases we will be able to complete check-in for your flights or cruise before you travel. 

While you're away

1. Let us know how you're getting on! We love to hear updates about your trip. If you need anything at all while you're away then drop us an email and we will arrange it for you. If you have an emergency in resort there's an emergency phone number on your tickets that's available 24/7.

When you return home

1. Let us have your feedback - we always want to hear about what you enjoyed, or what you'd have us change next time. 

2. Tell all of your friends about us! Most of our bookings come from personal recommendations, so if you were impressed with our service, then chances are your friends will be too!
